FIBER LINK TESTER / BIT ERROR RATE TESTER

Bit Error rate testing is the gold standard of fiber optical link testing.  Unlike OTDR’s and other fiber optic test sets the Eye-BERT Micro sends real network data through the link and ensures it arrives at its destination error free to guarantee performance in a real network, additionally links can include repeaters and media converters.  The unit is offered in two speed grades including 125Mbps to 4.25Gbps and 9.9Gbps to 11.4Gbps.  Both models feature replaceable transceivers allowing the user to test different fiber types and wavelengths including CWDM and DWDM using the same tester.  The easy to use Windows application supports variable bit rates and patterns as well as “one-click” automated test report generation.

 

Due to its low cost, size, and ease of use, the Eye-BERT Micro is perfect for testing and qualifying active and passive components on the production floor as well as backbone cables to 200Km in the field.  The units are sold individually (user to supply transceiver) or as complete kits with everything needed to test both single-mode and multimode fiber optic links.
