MPO/MTP® Solutions for High-Density Environments
MPO/MTP® solutions have become the foundation of hyperscale/high-density connectivity, giving data centers a way to route multiple fibers through a single connector interface. That density means racks, pathways, and panels hold significantly more connections, with a simpler, more traceable layout to maintain. Pre-terminated, factory-tested connectivity speeds deployment and delivers more consistent performance link to link.
Fibertronics carries a wide range of MPO/MTP® solutions to support it, from custom-built cable assemblies and loopbacks to the cassettes and bulkhead adapters that complete a deployment. With 17+ years in business and millions of assemblies made, we work as a partner to improve your infrastructure.
MPO/MTP® Cable Assemblies
We build custom MPO/MTP® cable assemblies in any configuration and complexity at our Melbourne, Florida facility, made for the demands of hyperscale data center networks. We also carry standard MPO/MTP® patch, fanout, and breakout cable assemblies in stock, ready to ship.

Patch Cables
MPO/MTP®-to-MPO/MTP® jumpers for direct, short-run connections between equipment, panels, and cassettes.

Trunk Cables
High-fiber-count backbone assemblies that consolidate many individual runs into a single, space-saving cable.
Explore Trunk Cable Options →MPO/MTP® Cassettes
Factory-terminated cassettes that break out a rear MPO/MTP® trunk connection into individual front-panel connectors, giving hyperscale operators a fast way to add density at the patch panel without slowing down deployment.

Ultraplex™ Cassettes
Up to 64 fibers per cassette, with LC, SC, MDC, or SN front connectors for maximum port flexibility. Fits up to four cassettes per 1U in Ultraplex™ patch panels.

NexaCore™ HD Series Fanout Cassettes
A slim, high-density design built for hyperscale and colocation environments. Plug-and-play installation into UltraHD™ patch panels.
Explore NexaCore™ HD Cassettes →MPO/MTP® Loopbacks
MPO/MTP® loopbacks connect the transmit and receive ends of a link back to each other. They are used to test port functionality, verify insertion loss, and troubleshoot connectivity before equipment goes live. Fibertronics builds custom loopbacks to your exact requirements, so you can validate the specific ports and configurations your network runs.
MPO/MTP® Bulkhead Adapters
Fibertronics provides MPO multi-fiber optic connector bulkhead adapters in a variety of configurations, including SC footprint, full flange, and no-flange options. Available for both singlemode and multimode applications, these adapters feature straight-key and opposed-key designs. They also come in multiple colors, black, red, aqua, beige, green, blue, and gray, for easy identification and organization.
Production Capabilities & Compliance
Fibertronics delivers MPO/MTP® solutions for the scale and speed high-density deployments demand, configured to your specifications and backed by the certifications required for regulated and mission-critical environments.
Configuration & Volume
Cable assemblies can be built to your exact specification, with the manufacturing capacity to support full-scale production runs for hyperscale data centers, AI/GPU clusters, and colocation facilities.
Compliance & Certifications
BABA and TAA compliant options are available for government and publicly funded projects. Fibertronics is TL9000, ISO 9001:2015, and AS9100D certified, and ITAR registered.
Lead Time
Most custom assemblies ship in 5–7 business days, with no minimum order quantity. Common configurations are kept in stock and ship the same day you order.
Frequently Asked Questions
MPO/MTP® connectivity is used to move high fiber counts through a single, compact connector. It's the standard for high-density backbone cabling in data centers, telecom networks, and other environments where space, installation speed, and scalability matter, connecting racks and panels through cable assemblies, cassettes, and adapters.
MPO (Multi-fiber Push-On) is the generic, industry-standard connector type, defined by IEC-61754-7 and TIA-604-5. MTP® is a registered trademark of a specific brand of MPO connector, manufactured by US Conec to tighter mechanical and optical tolerances. The two are physically compatible and will mate with each other.
An MPO cassette breaks out a rear MPO/MTP® trunk connection into individual front-panel connectors, such as LC, SC, MDC, or SN. Cassettes are factory-terminated and tested, and mount into a compatible patch panel or enclosure to transition backbone cabling into individual equipment ports.
Both convert a high-density MPO/MTP® trunk into individual connections, such as LC, SC, MDC, or SN, just in different places. A cassette lives inside a patch panel, making the connection point serviceable and easy to reconfigure as your network changes. A direct breakout, or fanout, cable skips the panel and lands the individual connectors right at the equipment, which is often simpler and more cost-effective for direct, static runs. Which one fits depends on how much moves, adds, and changes your deployment expects.
An MPO adapter is a bulkhead component that mates two MPO connectors together, commonly used in patch panels, cassettes, and trunk cabling. Fibertronics MPO adapters support any MPO connector and are available in multiple footprint, flange, key, and color configurations.
