The Fibertronics ESW-618A/B Ethernet Fiber Switch features one 100Base-FX BiDi fiber optic port and six 10/100Base-TX copper RJ-45 ports. It is compatible with Category 6 Ethernet and Category 5e Ethernet patch cables.
The switch supports Bi-Directional (BiDi) fiber transmission, allowing data to transmit and receive over a single fiber strand using different wavelengths. It provides a maximum fiber transmission distance of up to 25 km when operating at 100Base-FX.
This device is well suited for commercial office applications, particularly for connecting network infrastructure between floors in multi-level buildings, as well as other fiber-optic network extensions.
