Fiber Drop Stripper Operation Instructions
- Separate any locating wire from the cable before using the fiber drop stripper.
- Turn the knob counterclockwise all the way to open the fiber drop stripper.
- Insert the cable into the tool using the proper stripping channel marked A or B
- Turn the knob clockwise and tighten until you can no longer tighten the screw.
- Start the cable preparation by pulling the tool straight toward you. With some cables after pulling, you may have to re-tighten the screw on the fiber drop stripper again. Pull the tool to shave off the top and lower layer of the jacket using the A or B blades at the top and bottom of the fiber drop stripper.
- The cable is now slit, and the fiber can now be accessed by separating the two jacket halves.
