US Conec's MMC connector is a Very Small Form Factor (VSFF) multi-fiber optical connector designed for termination of single-mode and multimode fiber cables up to 2.5mm in diameter. Employing novel TMT ferrule technology harmonized with the proven MT-16 alignment structure, the MMC delivers 3x cabling port density over the standard MPO format, enabling next-generation hyperscale architectures while maintaining compatibility with existing industry infrastructure.

MMC Jr. and Adapter/Receptacle
The smaller footprint of the MMC Jr. connector maintains a robust multifiber connection while minimizing valuable board space or space behind module and panel walls.
Optimized for:
Transceivers
On-board Optics
Module Applications

TMT Ferrule Technology
The TMT ferrule leverages the proven MT‑16 alignment structure for durability, precision polishing, and reliable repeated mating, while supporting MMC, on‑board fiber management, transceivers, and hardened connectors.

New Application Require a Reduced Format Connector
Next-generation architectures are driving demand for optical connectivity solutions that cannot be met with the status quo. 51.2T switching for 500m reaches now requires fiber counts exceeding the density capacity of the MPO format. Both MPO-16 and MMC-16 can achieve 1,152 fibers in 1RU, but MMC does it with a dramatically smaller connector footprint.
MMC Applications Include:
Co-packaged Optics and on-board connectivity
High bandwidth transceivers
Maximum density, low-loss, pre-terminated cabling infrastructure
